Night - Inhumanity of Man, F Block

During his time in the ghetto and concentration camps, Elie witnesses individuals whose humanity has been stripped away from them.  What moments of inhumanity does Elie witness and experience? Are there any moments that show people who have managed to hold on to their identity and humanity?

during this time Elie experienced inhumanity such as when they had to shave all their hair, and had their names taken away from them and had to engrave their number into their arm. I dont recall anyone keeping their faith.- sofia

Sofia, are there any moments when individuals made a choice to help one another? Did anyone seem to do the right thing?

during his time in the concentration camps elie witnesses alot of humanity some examples are people being hanged, his mother being taken away from him, and watching little kids being burned. I dont think there was any moments that people tried keeping there identity and humanity.

Elie has gotten his name tooken away from him he is no longer Elie. He has to go by the numbers someone has given him. His mother has been taken away from him the one person who birth, loved and cared for him is gone there is no feeling of love around him besides his dad.he has witnessed a boy HIS age be hung. He has smelt and saw the ss killing babies with no full life to being with. I dont think elie remembers and one holding on to there humanity

during the time in the concentration camp, many peoples humanity was taken away because the german's made the prisoners cut all their hair. Also that the prisoners were not called by their names anymore they were given numbers. I think that there weren't any moments where someone held on to their humanity.
