When cole says I forgive you on pg. 194 he is forgiving himself for all his actions. It is important to forgive because when cole is angry he is giving someone else control of his feeling. If cole forgives than he gets some of his control back.
When Cole shouts I forgive you he is forgiving himself for what he has done. It's important for Cole to forgive himself because If he doesn't than he can't get rid of all his anger because he'll still be angry at himself.
When cole shouts "i forgive you" i think he needs to forgive his dad and himself. He needs to forgive his dad because he has to know how hard it is to forgive and how hard it will be for peter to forgve him. He needs to forgive himself because he needs to accept his past and take responsibility for his actions and know that what he did was wrong but now he needs to move on.
When Cole shouts "i forgive you" on pg. 194 he is forgiving himself for doing all the bad things that he has done, like beating up Peter and robbing the hardware store. He also needs to forgive other people, like his dad, for beating him because that is the only way he will heal. I think it is important for Cole to forgive because if he doesn't than the anger will keep taking control of him and by forgiving Cole can keep his anger and his body under control.
Cole needs to start forgiving himself, he keeps blaming himself for everything bad that he had done in the past and he needs to realize that they were dumb mistakes. It is important for Cole to forgive because it would take so much pressure off his shoulders and make him feel a lot better about himself. He doesn't realize that it is very hard to forgive and that it takes time.
During the anger dance Cole shouts "I forgive you" Cole is saying this to two people, the first ne being his dad, the second one being himself. Cole must forgive his dad because he knows he just like his father in the way that the only life they know is being hurt, and hurting others. Cole must forgive himself for making all the bad choices he made, he must let go of the past and make up for the pain and suffering he has put others through.
Cole screams "I forgive you". I think that he is saying this to two people: his dad and himself. It;s super important for Cole to forgive because he has to forgive his dad because he knows he didnt really mean to hurt him just as he didnt really mean to hurt Peter. He has to forgive himself so he can finally accept his past and start taking responsibility for the things he does.
When Cole screams, "I forgive you!" he is talking about his dad, but also himself. He needs to forgive his dad for all of the bad things he has done to Cole which made him this way. Cole needs to forgive himself for all of the bad things he has done to other people first, before he can move on in his life and become a better person.
When Cole shouts "I forgive you" on page 94, he is forgiving himself and the people that he hurt. It is important for Cole to forgive because this could be a way for cole to take out his anger in a healthy way.
If Cole can not forgive, he can not really begin to heal. Maybe it is Peter who is hypothetically saying this to Cole. It would lift a huge burden off of Cole's shoulders. Unfortunately Peter does not forgive him. Cole's actions are unforgivable.
Cole needs to forgive himself for his actions and attitude because what ever he does effects himself and certain others. It's important for Cole to forgive because if he doesn't then he wont be able to be in control of the way he feels and someone else would be. If Cole does forgive then he will gain control over his anger and be more peaceful and less violent
